Aurobindo Inter Union, Subhashpally, Siliguri


Aurobindo Inter Union established in 1970 found prominence at Subhashpally, Siliguri as stated by the club president, Mr. Ratan Dutta. Along with the club joint secretary, Mr. Ashim Saha & Sujit Dutta name the club in being actively involved with the two most popular sports of India, Cricket and Badminton. The club also conducts coaching for different kind of sports. Time to come, the club concentrated mainly on Cricket and till date they have participated in Badminton Tournament (Gold Cup) held on all India basis. The club also participated on some cricket tournaments from Assam and Alipurduar in 2012 and 2011 respectively and won lot of prizes.

Every year the club participate Cricket tournament sponsored by CPM, TMCP, CONGRESS. Beside sports, the club also conducts various social activities, like Blood Donation Camp, Free Eye Check-up Camp, Free Health Check-up Camp, etc.

With the passage of time the members who are team of professionals coming from various fields initiated and organized DURGA PUJA, the main festival occasion of Bengal and the Bengalis in the locality and are one of the famous organizers of Durga Puja. The club has bagged countless prizes from local administration for arranging Durga Puja in a most successful way and became talk of the State of West Bengal not only town.
