Story behind the birth of Goddess Saraswati:-

When the Tridev appeared, Devi Mahalakshmi wished all Tridevas to create Goddesses as their abilities and talents. Bholenath also known as Lord Shiva aroused Maha Kaali from Tamogun, Lord Vishnu aroused Devi Lakshmi from Rajogun and Lord Brahma aroused Devi Saraswati from Satvagun. After the three Goddesses appeared then Mahalakshmi gifted them to the gods who educed them to run the universe.

Saraswati Puja is one among the big festival occasion in Bengal which takes place between January and February. Saraswati puja festival is celebrated with great ceremony and expression. Kids are very enthusiastic about Saraswati puja. During this occasion kids and students pray to the goddess Saraswati for their academic success.

Goddess Saraswati is also reflected the Devi of sculpture and is also adored by peoples associated to this arena. On this period the students also worship the books, copies and pens along with the Goddess Saraswati. Artists,musicians worship their instruments and the Portraitists worship their paint-brushes and colors.

According to standard belief, Goddess Saraswati cascades prime blessings on persons who costumes themselves with yellow dress on the era of Basant Panchami.Saraswati Puja is also well-known as Basant Panchami, the fiesta signs the commencement of spring and is feted on the fifth day of the Hindi month of “Magh”. Method of Saraswati Puja

While performing Saraswati Puja, the idol of Goddess Saraswati is to keep in front. Afterwards, pinnacle or Kalash is treasured and Lord Ganesha and navgrah (Nine Planets) are also adored. After this process Goddess Saraswati is being worshiped. After this,flowers,garlands,vermillion and other make up things are offered. On this Day, gulaal is also offered on the feet of lord Saraswati.

Lord Saraswati wears white clothes so she ought to be glazed with that. On the juncture of Saraswati pujan,yellow flowers are to be presented and seasonal fruits and boondiyas are offered as Maha Prashad. On this event, Malpua and kheer are also offered to the goddess Saraswati.
