Mysore Golden Temple at Tarun Tirtha Club Durga Puja

Durga Puja 2014 Siliguri : Tarun Tirtha Club located at North Bharat Nagar, Rabindra Sarani, Siliguri (near the new railway underpass) is celebrating their 67th anniversary of Durga Puja. This year the club have presented the unique Golden Temple of Mysore based Durga Puja Pandal and named as Mysore Adole Puja Madir. The Puja pandal is decorated with bangles, foam, bamboo, jute, cloths by the artist from Haldibari, West Bengal.

Puja Committee President, Mr. Debashis Maitra, said that this year they are focusing on lighting and pandal to attract more and more visitors and the decoration is done by Ranjan Decore, Siliguri. The idol is brought from Krishna Nagar, West Bengal. The height of pandal is about 75 ft in 90 ft width.

The Puja Pandal is already inaugurated on Panchami by Dilip Dilkelkar. The puja committee secretary, Mr.Rocky Saha and joint secretary Mr. Suman Das said there are numerous events and cultural programs to be held by local artists at puja premises and the overall budget is estimated to 6.5 lakhs.
