Wisdom of Life

Sarada Sewak Sangha

Established in 1973, Sarada Sewak Sangha has done a lot for the society. Every year it holds a SARADA-UTSAV in which they conduct on grand festive for their ward. Singing, dancing and all sorts of competitions and programmes are held. It is also a central point of the interaction between the members of different wards and of the natives too.

Apart from Sarada-Utsav, Sarada Sewak Sangha also holds Blood Donation Camps as told by the club’s Secretary,Kalyan Mitra. “Give blood, Save life” is a very apt statement but this blood donation actually owns its credit to clubs like this. Without the initiative of clubs like Sarada Sewak Sangha, it would not have been possible for the hospitals and blood banks to get blood on time to save the patient’s life.

Along with it, the club also organizes free eye-checkup camp for the people of the town. It especially facilitates the poor people who due to scarcity of money cannot afford to the pay the fees of the doctors and medicines in hospitals and chambers.Free eye-checkup camp organized in small schools and in remote areas prove to be a boon for these needy people.

Apart from such social service, this club also engages itself in sports activities like football and cricket. But there is more more sports where this club has proved its mark; it is the long jump. ; a game that very few club patronize, this club being the one.
